These visually stunning locations are well worth a few hours of your time, and don’t forget to bring your camera!

You might also like to discover some slightly lesser known yet fascinating places to visit. For example, kids and adults alike will enjoy the hands-on experience of the interactive museum dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci (Il Genio di Leonardo da Vinci), which can be found at the bottom of the steps leading to the Borghese Gardens.

Or take a stroll to the Aventine Keyhole, where you can peep through the keyhole in the gates barring the entrance to the Priory of the Knights of Malta, and see a perfect view of the Vatican’s cathedral!
